Edi Simčič Wine Selections
From founder Edi to his son Aleks and in turn his sons Jure and Jakob three generations of the Simčič family farm around 13.5 hectares of land around Goriška Brda in Western Slovenia from their farm in the village of Vipolže. They produce around 70,000 bottles a year - to put that in context, that Casillero del Diablo wine from Chile you see on the TV and in the supermarket that everyone seems to love but is rather horrible and industrial...they produce 20 million bottles a year.
Edi Simčič wines are respected locally of course but equally revered in China, the US, Japan, and beyond. It’s a genuine privilege to be able to supply these wines as these are wines that sell themselves and need no help from me.
I am offering two selection boxes that provide a taste of their fine work.
Box One offers a selection of wines that cover many of the grape varieties grown in the Goriška Brda region, 5 white wines and 1 red. Full tasting notes are provided to you upon purchase.
